Hitting the Apex is coming to Canada

Mark Neale’s latest film, titled Hitting the Apex, is coming to Canada.

It’s normally a rough life for Canadian motorcycle film fans. Thanks to the wonders of the World Wide Web, any motorcycle movie ever made is available on DVD, delivered to your door. But if you want to watch a motorcycle movie in a theatre, good luck. That just doesn’t happen.

That’s why it’s good news to find out Hitting the Apex is coming to Canada. Released earlier this fall, it’s Neale’s latest look at MotoGP. Narrated by Brad Pitt, it’s a look at the young guns who’ve come up the ranks in recent years to challenge Rossi: A particularly fitting film, considering the events in MotoGP in the past week.

Hitting the Apex will play November 30 in the following Canadian theaters:

o Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas & VIP (Toronto)
o Cineplex Cinemas Courtney Park (Mississauga)
o Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan (Vaughan)
o Cineplex Odeon Sunridge Spectrum (Calgary)
o Cineplex Odeon South Edmonton (Edmonton)
o Cineplex Odeon International Village (Vancouver)
o SilverCity Polo Park (Winnipeg)
o Cinéma Cineplex Forum (Montreal)

  1. My understanding is that it will only play at a given location if 100 people pre-order tickets for that location by 20 November: http://theatricast.com/hitting-the-apex/

As of right now, you can’t sign up yet for the Canadian dates.

On facebook, a number of the Toronto area folks (myself included) are attempting to co-ordinate this to hopefully make sure at least that one reaches the threshold. Currently looks like either Mississauga or Vaughan and not the downtown location.
