Schuberth announce new E1 adventure helmet

Schuberth, manufacturer of the rather plush, but pricey C3 Pro flip-up helmet has gone the adventure route with a new E1 adventure helmet. Like the C3, the E1 features a flip-up front but has a larger chin bar and peak.

The chin bar, visor and peak all flip-up together for easy fitting (handy if you have specs) or to take a break without having to remove the helmet first. As with the C range, there is also an in-built sun visor that can be flipped down using a slider on the side. The peak can be set to three different positions or removed entirely, as can the visor if the user would prefer goggles.

Schuberth claim that the helmet has been tested in wind tunnels to ensure that it is aerodynamic and comes with a spoiler to prevent lift. This should also help keep noise levels low. It comes with three vents – head, visor and chin along with a removable liner and different cheek cushions for optimum fit and is available in seven sizes from XS through XXXL.

Touratech-1
Touratech commissioned its own version – the AVENTURO Mod

Pre-installed antennas are prepared for installation of the optional SRC-System for rider to rider or music/phone connection.

The helmet will be available in five different colour/graphic options as well as a Touratech version called the AVENTURO Mod which looks pretty much the same save for a tweaked air vent on the chin and different graphics.

We have no Canadian pricing yet, but it’ll likely come close to C$1,000, though all will be revealed when the helmet is made available to riders in the spring of 2016.
