If documents filed the the California air quality regime at CARB are any indication, we’ll see a new Panigale and Hypermotards coming from Ducati this year.

Motorcycle.com has uncovered documents listing emissions information for new Ducati models, published by the California Air Resource Board (CARB). One of the bikes listed is a Panigale 959, which sounds like a replacement for the 899. Details on the bike are scarce, but it appears to have a 955 cc motor and lower emissions than the outgoing 899.

Other documents Motorcycle.com found point to new entries in Ducati’s Hypermotard family. According to the CARB paperwork, there will be a new Hypermotard 939, Hypermotard939  SP and Hyperstrada 939 for 2016, all powered by the same 937 cc motor. The current Hypermotard lineup has a standard model, an upscale model with higher-spec parts, and a touring model. In theory, the 939 lineup will be the same.

Expect all details on the new Ducatis to appear at EICMA.
