This is what the Royal Enfield Himalayan will look like.

For some time now, we’ve known that Royal Enfield is working on an adventure bike, tentative called the Himalayan. Now, we’ve seen enough spy shots of the bike that we’re pretty sure we’ve got a good idea of what the finished product looks like.

In the past few weeks, we’ve seen several photos of this machine popping up from news sites in India. The first few snaps looked very crude and unfinished, which makes sense, considering they’re prototypes. Frankly, those early photos didn’t look like a realistic attempt at an adventure bike; the photos looked like a hoax.

Now, though, the photos of the bike continue to pop up, and it’s looking more refined, as you’d expect. As you can see from the gallery, several different Indian publications have collected photos of this bike, so unless everybody’s taking photos of a crazed individual who’s riding around on a custom motorcycle, it seems a pretty safe bet this really is what the Himalayan will look like.

Looking through the gallery, it seems there are at least two prototypes in existence. Earlier shots of the bike feature a very rusty-looking tank with a tire-hugging front fender; later photos show a high dirtbike-style fender, luggage rack and GPS mount.
