In a surprise announcement, Polaris power cruiser brand will have a two bike team at the famous TT Zero race in June. The company says it has been working on advanced electric power trains with its partner, Parker Power Systems and recently acquired Brammo technology.
The new motorcycle is being called a Victory electric racing prototype, but appears to borrow heavily from the Brammo Empulse RR that the former electric motorcycle maker campaigned successfully in the 2012-2013 period.
Riding for Victory will be William Dunlop, a relation of the late TT legend Joey Dunlop, and American Lee Johnston. No technical specifications are given but the Empluse RR was known to put out over 165 hp and reached top speeds of nearly 200 mph at Daytona.
