Are you eagerly waiting for Yamaha’s new litre bike to launch? We’ll have that story for you in a few days, but until then, you’ll have to be satisfied with the R1 simulator on their website.
The R1 simulator lets you play with the dashboard controls of the new R1 street bike and R1M track bike. (we found it here, on their US website – couldn’t see it on the Canadian site, but it might be there shortly). You can fiddle around with various inputs and switches (virtually, of course) that let you learn how the electronics package is set up on the new bikes.
Some options (like data logging) aren’t available on the new simulator; there’s more information on how to use it on Yamaha’s website here.
What? No button or sound effects of the engine revving up and down….. Waste of time.
