Earlier this week, Cameron Donald announced he’d return to the Isle of Man TT riding for Norton, but that he’d also sign up for other races than the Senior TT and the Superbike events. Now we know where he’s landing.
Donald is racing for the Padgett’s Valvoline team, piloting a CBR600RR in the Supersport races. John McGuiness has stepped down from that slot, meaning there’s room for Donald to join the team. His teammate will be Bruce Anstey, who beat Donald to the Supersport win by only 0.77 seconds back in 2012, when Donald had two second-place Supersport finishes.
“Padgetts Motorcycles are one of the most successful race teams the TT has ever seen so when Clive (Padgett) rang me and asked if I would be part of the team for the 2015 TT it didn’t take me long to say yes,” said Donald.
“The team obviously build great bikes and I have a lot of experience of my own with the CBR600 RR Honda, so together I think we should be right on the pace and come the races. I enjoyed being team mates with Bruce in the past and I am sure we will push each other on again as team mates in 2015.”
