BMW owners living in the GTA have cause for celebration, with news that The Motorrad Shop has officially opened its doors in Aurora, Ontario.
The Motorrad Shop is a specialist BMW service shop owned and operated by ace mechanic and supremely good human being Ronn Moffatt.
Long-in-the-tooth CMG readers may recognize Ronn’s name from the digital pages of CMG. We’ve worked with him on various projects from back in the day when he was working with Pat Doyle at Bavarian Motorsports. You may also remember his ill-fated attempt at racing glory at Daytona.
Ronn has over 17 years of BMW service experience. He started his career with Pat at Bavarian and moved with him when Pat decided to shift to Open Road BMW in Newmarket. Ronn rose up the ranks to become lead technician at Open Road before shifting to BMW Toronto.

On my way to Bikers Reunion 2015 in New Liskeard I had the misfortune of my 04 R1200CL rear bearing failing in Newmarket. I then had the pleasant experience of finding Ronn Moffatt. Words cannot express the fine person he is. All the best Ronn as you continue being successful in your endeavours.

Worked with Ronn myself. He is very patient and a super intelligent guy. His work is fantastic and he is a strong believer in “fix it right the first time”. He is factory trained and fully updated with BMW’s past, present and upcoming technology. He’s worth every dollar he charges.

I’m glad to hear Ronn is still working hard. He was great to deal with and he made it less painful when I had to lower myself to bring my bike in to the dealer for service.
