We managed to get yesterday’s Dakar update to you pretty quickly after the race, but that meant we couldn’t show you the video update, as it hadn’t been uploaded by the Dakar YouTube channel. Here it is now.
The video starts off with the car class; note Robby Gordon and co-pilot Johnny Campbell (of two-wheeled Baja and Dakar fame) have got themselves pretty far back in the standings, thanks to brake trouble. It looks like Campbell’s not going to get a four-wheeled win this year, after all.
But, it could be worse: A dozen bikes are already out of the running after yesterday’s super-tough special. At least Campbell’s still racing.
