Want to watch Dakar on your TV? There are a few ways you can keep up with the goings-on.

First, a couple of sports channels in Canada cover the race. Sportsnet has coverage on in the wee hours of the morning (2:30-3:00 AM, EST, as far as we can tell). Sportsnet World also covers the Dakar, but since we are unable to find a schedule for that channel anywhere, we’re not sure when it runs. Subscribers should be able to find that out easily, though.

If you’re a cheap Yorkshireman like our esteemed editor, then you can also catch Dakar rally coverage on Eurosport for free. However, you’ll need to download VLC media player and then go here to stream this link, and then you should be able to watch their half-hour daily Dakar special for free. Of course, it’s a live feed so you’ll need to time it right, but it looks like the day’s feed aligns nicely to around 5 pm EST.

NBC Sports also covers the Dakar Rally. According to their streaming page here, you can watch their half-hour Dakar update between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM, but you have to already subscribe to their channel to watch it online. Of course, if you already subscribe to their channel, you can just watch it there instead.
