Aleix Espargaro is undergoing medical treatment after injuring his knee earlier this month.
Aleix Espargaro was a breakout star of the 2014 MotoGP season, landing a factory ride with the revived Suzuki team at the season’s end, along with Maverick Vinales. Unfortunately for Espargaro, he managed to crash while he and Vinales were doing off-season training on flat track motorcycles, partially rupturing ligaments in his left knee.
Despite the injury and disruption to his training schedule, Espargaro says he expects to attend the official MotoGP pre-season tests; he doesn’t need surgery for the injury, and figures he will be back in action shortly. That would be very good news for Suzuki, as the team certainly doesn’t need to deal with an injured rider in their first season back in years.
