According to Internet rumour, Moto2 racer Jordi Torres might be headed to World Superbike.
Apparently, Torres (two-time winner of Spain’s Moto2 championship, and race winner in MotoGP’s Moto2 series) showed up at a Kawasaki test ride day at Aragon, where he spent time riding an EVO-spec Kawasaki ZX-10R.
“The bike is easy to adapt to but probably things will become a bit more difficult when you push to the very limit,” Torres said of his test. “When I rode a 1000cc machine in the Spanish Championship the bike had no traction control and all these high-end electronic aids. I enjoyed riding the bike at Aragon and I think there are great chances that I will be racing in the Superbike World Championship next year.”
Gossip has Torres headed to GO Eleven Kawasaki next season. We’re sure there’s something going on, or Torres wouldn’t have been invited to the test day.
