World Superbike releases provisional schedule

It's been Michael Van Der Mark's season in 2014. He clinched the title at Jerez.

The 2015 WSB provisional calendar has been released. As we indicated earlier a race in Thailand has been added, and there’s a planned return to Russia – the 2014 round having been cancelled during the, um, unpleasantness related to Russia’s takeover of the Crimea.

As usual, the season opens in Australia at Philip Island, with the Thai round at the new Chang circuit a month later. Qatar will again end the season (although contract negotiations there have yet to be settled; ditto for Russia and Portugal). The rumoured South African round has apparently dropped into the void, as has the proposed Chilean race.
