BMW has confirmed their R1200 R and R1200 S motorcycles are coming to Canada for 2015.
The German manufacturer first unveiled the bikes at the recent Intermot show in Germany; they carry on a long-standing BMW tradition by dropping a boxer twin motor into a naked bike and sport tourer chassis. The big difference is, that motor is now liquid-cooled …
According to BMW Motorrad Canada’s head of marketing, the R1200 R will be in Canadian showrooms in February, and the RS will be available in May. The R1200 R will be on this year’s show circuit, and BMW is also hoping to get an RS to show off as well.
We don’t have an MSRP for the bikes yet.
parallel twin? that’s different…
lol; parallel twins in the 800s, anway! Also, I believe the new R and RS bikes use conventional forks, not the Telelever shown in the pic.
er quite. good catches, thanks.
Rather….it’s a boxer twin (opposed cylinders)
