European Junior Cup moves to CBR650

The new CBR650F is a return to practical sport bikes.

The European Junior Cup is moving to use Honda’s CBR650 for 2015.

The EJC is the initial feeder series for MotoGP, for racers aged 14 to 19. This eight-round spec series used Honda’s CBR500 in 2014 (you can find its specs here). In 2015, they’ll be on identical CBR650s, with adjustable suspension, lightweight handlebars and footrests, racing exhaust and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires. It should make around 79 hp and weigh 173 kg ready to race.

PATA Chips will stay on as the series’ title sponsor. Find out more details at the series’ site here.
