Every year, Zero gets more range out of their fleet of battery-powered bikes, but they’ve made some other significant upgrades this year as well.
Along with upgraded battery capacity that gives them a claimed 298-km city range (when combined with the optional Power Tank accessory), Zero’s models also got Pirelli tires, Brembo brakes with ABS and Showa suspension, with a modest price increase.
Although top-speed range isn’t as impressive, with that accessory battery, Zero’s bikes’ now have a claimed 151-km highway range at 112 kph, and 185 km at 88 kph. The S, DS and SR models again come in two versions, one with 9.4 kwh batteries, the other with 12.5 kwh batteries. The FX comes in 2.5 kwh and 5.7 kwh variants. Obviously, the 9.4 models don’t have as great a range as the 12.5 models
The Zero S, DS and SR models also get re-designed wheels for less unsprung weight.
Zero also unveiled a new fleet model, the FXP, to go with the existing SP, DSP and MMX fleet models. They seem to be marketing these to police specifically.
Pricing for the civilian-oriented Zeros starts at $11,025 for the FX, $14,945 for the DS, $19,450 for the SR and $14,945 for the S. Again, a bigger battery pack, an accessory battery pack or quick charger will hike the price.
