Triumph delivers a revised Street Triple

We expected a new quarter-litre class of machines from Triumph in the near future. Instead, we got a revamped Street Triple, with massaged styling and three tarted-up Bonnevilles.

As we told you earlier this month, Triumph has canned their 250 cc machine project, which had been under development for some time. Instead of seeing those bikes, we instead got a glimpse of their Street Triple RX, which isn’t really that different from the standard Street Triple.

The Street Triple RX has a tail section lifted from the Daytona, a belly pan, a flyscreen and a quickshifter. Other than that, it has the same motor, brakes and suspension as the Street Triple R. Supposedly, the bike will hit showrooms sometime next winter, although we don’t have Canadian dates or pricing.
