Cannonball bikes stolen

The Motorcycle Cannonball ended last Saturday. Within hours, crooks had stolen four of the motorcycles that had participated in the vintage ride.

The bikes stolen were a 1919 Harley-Davidson J (Rider 54), Mississippi antique plate 9620; a 1926 Harley-Davidson JD (Rider 73), Texas antique plate BFGV2; a 1931 Harley-Davidson VL (Rider 76), Texas antique plate BDKX4 and a 1928 Harley-Davidson JD (Rider 99), Texas antique plate BDKX4. A 2001 Ford 250 support vehicle and trailer was also stolen.

Team Carson Classic Motors is offering a $20,000 reward for the return of the the bikes, truck, trailer and its contents. The whole lot was pinched from the hotel parking lot on the last day of the event, in Tacoma, Washington. It should stick out, as those are rare bikes and the trailer has a Motorcycle Cannonball logo painted on the back.
