A few months ago, we told you about the new World Superbike game for your cell phones. Now, the game designers have upped the stakes, letting you challenge other players’ times – even allowing you to take on real-world WSB riders.
Along with the 27 WSB riders, 13 different tracks, and controls that can be configured to suit the user, there’s also three game modes – Championship, Quick Race and Challenge. In Challenge mode, you can race against your friends, or against real WSB riders.
Below, you can see Marco Melandri’s attempt at Jerez. We figure there’s a video game hero out there that can easily beat Melandri’s time – if so, let us know in the comments section.
SBK14 is still free, and still only available for iOS products (iPad, iPhone, etc.). It’s been downloaded three million times.
I’ve got this. Good fun, featuring slightly better game play than found on Ducati Challenge (same developer).
But, can you beat Marco Melandri?
Funnily enough, when I play this game, I _am_ Melandri. He’s been my favourite rider in WSBK ever since his departure from MotoGP. I’ve followed his career since he was a wee squirt on 125s.
