A photo that popped up on a Ducati Diavel fanboy forum seems to confirm the Italian manufacturer is planning to upgrade their flagship superbike once again (supposedly, the snap originated on Facebook).
The photo apparently depicts staff from Portland’s Moto Corsa dealership at some company banquet, posing with sales awards. Big deal, right? Except, right behind them, is a photo of a superbike, bearing a “1299” logo. Putting two and two together gives us the indication that, hey – Ducati’s planning to upgrade the Panigale 1199 superbike again.
Of course, there has been no confirmation from the factory about this. In fact, this seems like a pretty rare accidental leak for Ducati, as all summer long they’ve instead been carefully crafting clever propaganda pushing their new Scrambler, which we should see this fall.
