Coming Attractions: Another H2 video, BMW S1000 RR update

Another day, another video from Kawasaki showcasing their Ninja H2.

Actually, most of their YouTube teasers have been a tad inane, but at least this one shows the bike. Sure, it’s a high-speed flyby, but we get another listen to that motor, and see it in action.

Along with the flyby, we get a bunch of promotional copy insinuating once more that we’re about to see a groundbreaking speed demon unleashed on the populace. They’ve given this bike a lot of hype; if it turns out to be anything less than stellar upon its launch, there are going to be a lot of disappointed fanboys. Anyway, you can see the video at the end of the story.

In other news – we’ve known for some time that BMW is working on a new S1000 RR and some related projects. The company has now announced they’ll unveil the new sportbike at Intermot, along with a couple other new models – most likely the Multistrada competitor that’s been expected for a while.

A press release quoted Heiner Faust, their head of marketing and sales, saying “Our model offensive continues to advance at full pace,” and that “Customers can again look forward to numerous new products for the 2015 motorcycle season. We will be presenting no less than five models to the public in the course of the next few months.” Is he talking about the new small-capacity bikes they’re working on, or something else? Stay tuned.
