British National Motorcycle Museum robbed

The British National Motorcycle Museum has been robbed, with dozens of racing trophies stolen.

According to an article on the BBC, the thieves made off with more than 100 trophies, including trophies from TT racing. They smashed cabinets to grab the items, making a mess, although it’s apparently business as usual at the museum this week.

The museum has offered a £20,000 for information leading to the trophies’ return. The museum’s director says the trophies will be impossible to sell, because of their recognizeability, and since they mostly aren’t made of real silver, they won’t be valuable if melted down, either.
