In the past few years, registration for the Wharf Rat rally has been optional, but not this year.
For 2014, organizers want motorcyclists to have a rally registration sticker on their bike before they go downtown to park. That sticker will cost $10. According to Wharf Rat’s website, they are charging all riders this year to get a better preview of how many are coming, to have better visit statistics for the event sponsors and accommodation providers, to provide better future communications with their visitors and to ensure the financial stability and enjoyment of future Wharf Rat Rallies.
Along with downtown parking, your $10 also gets you entered into a contest to win a Honda Grom and other prizes, it gets you access into some concerts and other events at the rally and of course, the ever-valuable rally pin.
The Wharf Rat rally runs in Digby, Nova Scotia, on Aug. 27 to 31 this year. It’s Canada’s largest outdoor motorcycle rally.
