Bold new graphics: The phrase is a scourge to motorcyclists everywhere, but especially to Suzuki fans, who have mostly been stuck with styling changes in the past few years as the company recovers from the 2008 recession. But, that’s about to change.
According to just about every Internet moto-gossip source (we’ll credit Asphalt and Rubber, but the news is out everywhere) has Suzuki filing documents with California’s pollution overlords, CARB. These mysterious documents, viewable here thanks to the wonders of technology, indicate Suzuki is changing the emissions figures for their 2015 GSX-R 600 and 750.
Now, this isn’t the sort of thing a manufacturer would do for the fun of it, leading us to assume Suzuki has finally gotten around to updating their sportbike lineup. It’s possible the changes are due to production shifts towards different components that might not improve performance, but we doubt that. Asphalt and Rubber reckons the bike’s increase in hydrocarbon output means a rise in power, since theoretically the bike will be burning more gas to create the added emissions.
