To sell motorcycles, you have to provide follow-up service to your customers, and that’s hard without an extensive dealer network. Erik Buell Racing seems to be working around that problem, though.
While EBR still doesn’t have a huge list of dealers when compared to their Japanese and European competition, they’ve just announced parts distribution deals with Parts Unlimited in North America and Parts Europe in Europe.
This strategic move allows them to deliver parts to participating Parts dealers all over the map, which should make it much easier to keep customers happy and on the road.
What we didn’t see, though, was an announcement specifically mentioning Canada. It’s true that Parts Canada has a deal with Parts Unlimited and the Parts Unlimited deal supposedly covers North America, but we haven’t heard of an EBR dealer opening doors in our country yet, despite their hopes to cover the major urban centres this year.
