Dual Sport Plus to remain open

BMW continues to inspire motorcyclists to ride into the wilderness with their new F800 GS Adventure.

To paraphrase Mark Twain, it seems reports of Dual Sport Plus’s demise are greatly exaggerated.

Back in May, we told you Les and Catharine at Dual Sport Plus were having a big sale and closing their doors, after the sale of their business fell through. Thankfully, it seems that’s not the case.

A reader tipped us yesterday and according to their website, Dual Sport Plus has been bought by Carrier Centres Motorcycles. They’ll continue sales of the Dual Sport Plus lineup (Altrider, Jesse Luggage, Wunderlich, GS911) from their storefront in Brantford (6 Edmonson Street), and will also continue web sales. The e-commerce business is shut down temporarily, but will re-open on Aug. 1.

You might recognize Carrier Centres’ name if you’re a hard-core off-roader, as they import OSSA and Gas Gas bikes, as well as selling Sherco, Montesa and Scorpa machines, and run the Ontario Trials Store. Their store is open Tuesday-Friday 9-5, and Saturday 9-2. If you want to meet them in person, they’ll be at Lawrence Hacking’s Overland Adventure rally this weekend.
