A few weeks ago, word came out that BMW had issued a “Do Not Ride” notice for their 2014 R1200 RT models with Dynamic ESA suspension (according to sources it appears that there is a problem with an internal valve that locks the shock up, though this has not been confirmed).
Obviously, buyers who slapped down thousands of dollars aren’t happy that they can’t ride their new bike, but BMW reportedly has offered new RT owners different options ranging from temporary loaner bikes to rebates against alternate bikes or free gear, until this is all sorted out.
