Planning to buy a new Victory motorcycle in the next few weeks? If so, there’s good news – you might not have to pay for the machine, as long as you can lay down some extreme mileage.

Here’s how it works: Buy a new Victory motorcycle between June 1 and July 31, 2014, and have the dealer jot down your odometer reading to enter. Then, return on July 31 to have them record the mileage again. They’ll send those numbers into head office, and whichever rider puts on the most miles in that timeframe will get their new motorcycle for free. Of course, they’ll still be on the hook for taxes and all the other fees The Man likes to tack on for the privilege of riding.

If you buy a motorcycle after a Victory demo ride event, they’ll even give you a bonus 1,000 miles towards your total. Of course, that doesn’t do you much good if you can’t get to one of those events.

Unlike most fun contests, this one is actually open to Canadian riders. You can read the fine print at Victory’s website here.
