Deeley to sponsor Canadian flat track

Last December, when Deeley Harley-Davidson pulled their support of CSBK’s XR1200 series, we wondered what else they were planning. Now we know, with an announcement they plan to sponsor Flat Track Canada.

Flat Track Canada is a new organization managing flat track racing in the Great White North; for 2014, it seems all their races are scheduled for Ontario, although they say they’re hoping to establish ties with flat track organizations in Alberta, Quebec, and other places. Their first event for 2014 is the Paris Half Mile, at Paris, Ontario, running next Saturday (May 17).

“Racing has always been an integral part of the very foundation of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle brand and we are thrilled to support Flat Track Canada this year in its continued growth and success,” said Deeley marketing bigwig Karen Mayberry. “The passion and dedication invested by the series and it’s racers is why we are so proud to be series partners.”

“I am very excited to see the future of the sport, in the meantime I will continually work hard to establish strong awareness of the sport and make the Flat Track Canada race series significant on a world level,” said Aaron Hesmer, president of Flat Track Canada.
