Recall #: 2014078
Models Involved: 2014 Zero S, SR
Number of Vehicles: 3
Problem: On certain motorcycles, the motor rotor may contact the stator at sustained maximum motor RPM. Should this occur during motorcycle operation, rear wheel lockup could result.
Correction: Dealers will conduct a stationary screening test of affected motors and replace if necessary. In the interim, owners are advised to keep motor RPM below 5 000 RPM – This equates to 136 km/h for the SR model, and 127 km/h on the S model.
Three – seriously …?
Seriously, that’s what Transport Canada says. They had similar numbers in this recall from last year.
