It’s arguably the most important show of the season. It’s all of the manufacturers gathered in one place. It’s the Toronto Motorcycle Show, it’s running this weekend and CMG will have a big presence there.

Editor ‘Arris has been working hard on putting together a series of presentations for adventure riding fans. The Spirit of Adventure series will be a series of talks and interviews with some of Canada’s foremost adventure riders, including Rene Cormier, Jeremy Kroeker, Lawrence Hacking, Chantale Cournoyer and Grant and Susan Johnson, founders of Horizons Unlimited.

CMG will also be screening the short film Fifty Years of Kicks (by Dallas and Anthony Kerr), and showing Terry Burt’s short documentary on the Labrador Highway. You can find out more about the Spirit of Adventure series here.

But wait, there’s more! CMG is also working with the show to bring you the first Canadian screening of Why We Ride! It shows at the Race Cafe at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Along with displays from the manufacturers and distributors, there’s some other interesting stuff to see as well. Triumph’s Castrol Rocket streamliner land speed bike (with 1000 hp!) will be on display, Team Empire stunters Nick“Apex” Brocha and Ernie “EDub” Vigil will put on a freestyle show, the OP Golden Helmets team will display their precision riding skills, Jordan Szoke will give trials demos and Clinton Smout will demonstrate dirt riding skills for Yamaha.

The other usual stuff (SHE Rides night, Yamaha Riding Academy) runs this weekend as well. The show doors are open Friday 12 pm – 10 pm, Saturday 10 am – 8 pm and Sunday, 10 am – 5 pm. Admission is $17 for adults, $12 for seniors 65+, $10 for youths (6-14) and children under 6 get in for free.
