Ah, Sturgis Canada (previously known as Sturgis North). The BC-based motorcycle festival is constantly beset by problems, but the organizers don’t give up, even though the 2013 event ended up canceled.

The people behind the motorcycles-and-music party have announced the event will run in Merritt, BC, in 2014, after failed forays into Salmon Arm and Vernon. In an interview with the Merritt Herald, organizers are claiming the event has been completely overhauled, but weren’t exactly clear on how the financial messes of the previous events were going to be cleaned up.

The event will run Aug. 21-24, unless organizers cancel again. You can visit the event’s website here. They’ve got all sorts of rock acts lined up again, and Rick Dakota and the Motorcycle Cowboys will perform a Western-themed stunt show.
