Graham Jarvis (Husqvarna) took the win at the Roof of Africa hard enduro last weekend, 50 minutes ahead of his closest competitor, Chris Birch (KTM). Birch, who’s coming to teach at Rally Connex in the spring, took second and Scott Bouverie (KTM) took third.

While many think of Saharan desert or tropical jungle when they think of Africa, this year’s Roof of Africa once again took competitors through a super-tough mountain course in the Kingdom of Lesotho that left several riders spending the night in the hills when they were unable to complete a day’s course in time (the race is a three-day event).

Jarvis and Birch have both won the Roof of Africa before, and they were trying to wrest the title from Wade Young, the South African who won last year. Young ended up dropping out after suffering engine trouble on Day Two.
