With all the news about the new AIME show coming to Orlando next week, there was considerable doubt about the future of the Indianapolis DealerExpo. But, organizers are planning to bring back the show – it’s just not returning to Indianapolis.
For 2014, DealerExpo is changing venues to Chicago, and it’s also changing its date. Instead of running early in the year (DealerExpo used to run in February), it’s running Dec. 5-7 next year. That should give buyers a chance to get a head start on the 2015 season.
The biggest news about Orlando’s AIME show was that it would be open to both the industry and the public, like the big European shows. However, it doesn’t sound as if that’s going to be the case for the Chicago-based DealerExpo, at least not yet. Instead, it appears that it’ll focus on industry figures only, with seminars for insiders teaching them all the tricks to selling more stuff.
