For years, the air- and oil-cooled Monster series has been a mainstay in Ducati’s lineup, but spy shots indicate the company may moving towards liquid-cooling.

Photos on Italian website Motociclisimo from earlier this year show a heavily camouflaged naked bike the mag claims is Ducati’s next Monster. Are they on the money? We already know they’ve got a super hot-rodded version of the Panigale en route, and likely a Scrambler. We also know the company is releasing four new high-end models next year, so this Monster would make the third in that lineup.

We’re sure we’ll see more of it when the EICMA show runs next month. The big question now is, what’s next? Will the fourth bike in the lineup be an upscale Diavel, a supercharged supermoto, or an entirely new bike?

  1. Work is just finishing up as they find a way to make it run as lean as possible, and develop the perfect ball-crushing slope on the seat…..
