Do you think speeding tickets are often nothing more than legalized extortion by The Man? For sure! And this YouTube poster from BC agrees with you.

Remember, CMG put together an article earlier this year that compared speeding ticket costs all across this country, province by province, and told you how much those performance awards will cost you in each jurisdiction. We didn’t get into the sense and nonsense of ticketing, but this YouTube vid does a good job of that.

  1. Recently completed stretch from Winfield to Oyama. 6% grade with no runaway lane, no chainup area, and no brake inspection pullout. Total cost for the project is 80 million.
The bc government admits to 900 million for the winter Olympics. Factoring the government BS factor, the true cost is probably 3 to 4 billion. It was a great boost to our bobsled dealerships and cross country ski factories.

  2. The BC government is piss-ass broke. How else are they going to pay their thousands of goverment workers that otherwise couldnt get a job anywhere? What’s really funny is that the people in BC (Bring Cash) just put up with it. Glad I don’t live there.

  3. Politicians and their courtiers ( the presscort service) only care about scamming a few more pennies out of the cattle. Highways should be the number 1 priority.
