If you want to take in some vintage racing this weekend, you’re in luck – the Vintage Road Racing Association (VRRA) is running their Vintage Festival at Mosport (or as the sponsors would like us to call it, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park).
There’ll be all sorts of classes running (stuff like Pre-1950, Pre-1965, Sidecar and Vintage GP; this isn’t your standard race weekend), and of course the parking lot and campground will be filled with all manner of unique vintage bikes.
You might want to check out the McHardy Norton Domiracer (with a custom-built frame and a custom crank made from billet), or maybe Tim Stover’s rebuilt Honda CB500 twin. Rick Yates should also be there with his Kawasaki enduro F7 that he’s turned into a roadracer.
It costs $30 to attend for the whole weekend, and that includes your camping fees and live music by Tyler Wilson on Saturday night. You can also get in on a day pass.

Should be there Saturday – watch yourselves !
Meet up with me Saturday morning at the Bulova Tower at corner 24 Sunday night
for dinner at the top of Empire State Building on New Year’s Eve as we gaze across
the Paris sky-line from the Eiffel Tower.
Wait … that was too many film and one CNE reference! Cancel that.
TK? Look for the wanker in the funny hat at three, about an hour after
Spa quallies.
Plans already made. Mentioned it to my work pals last week.
I’ll be there. You’ve been warned. 😀
(Any idea what the Friday itinerary is?).
