In case you don’t follow our Facebook page, CMG will be following the adventures of Warren Milner as he heads for Alaska before heading south to to do the Heart of the West ride that will run in and around the Rockies through four States, ending on Sept the 9th back in Bozeman, Montana.

You can follow Warren’s progress on the CMG Facebook page and check in to see exactly where he is through his SPOT page here. He’s riding a BMW Sertao.

Today, Warren hit Mile Zero of the Alaskan Highway. He’s headed north right now, through northern B.C.; he’s hitting some rain, but the gear he’s testing for the summer seems to be working at holding the water out. He’s got to be there by lunchtime on the 17th at the latest, so that’s going to make for some quick riding.

Once he’s in Alaska, he’s going to change tires and go for a ride with the guys from Motoquest for an insider industry invitational that the owner Phil puts on every year. Warren says “Rather than following the usual tour format of staying in swanky hotels and following the traditional tour routes Phil is going to take us camping and dual sporting in the back country.”

They’re going to mess around Copper Centre, an old mining town, then Warren’s off to Montana for the Heart of the West (after changing tires again). He’s hoping to finish that six-state ride in time to be back in Parry Sound for Sept.12’s Horizons Unlimited rally.
