Recession? What recession? Once again, BMW is seeing an upward trend in motorcycle sales this year.
According to their press release, BMW Motorrad has achieved an all-time high for sales in the first six months of 2013, with 64,941 vehicles delivered. That number is up 9.7 per cent from the 59,189 they delivered in the first six months of 2012.
The month of June was particularly good for BMW; they sold 12,541 bikes last month, up 22.1 per cent from 2013’s 10,271.
Meanwhile, BMW is still working behind the scenes on their deal with Indian motorcycle manufacturer TVS. What do they have up their sleeves? Will a made-in-India machine replace the old made-in-Taiwan single-cylinder Beemers? Stay tuned!
