Do you feel your BMW R1200R is too modern-looking? Do you spend hours watching and re-watching this video, wishing your machine could re-capture some of that 1970s magic? If so, you’re in luck!

Unit Garage is at it again. Not content with restyling your GS to a 1980s esthetic, they’re now building another kit that can transform your R1200R into a throwback model. That’s right – buy their trick bits, and your 2006-2013 R1200R can look like it came straight out of a time machine.

Their retro kit for the R1200R includes a straight seat, carbon-fiber tank covers, rubber kneepads, leather tankbag, fenders and sidecovers made of ABS plastic, steel cylinder guards, oil cooler and headlight guards, and a windshield by Hubert.

You can also get plastic BMW panniers, or metal panniers by Krauser to complete the look.

The cost for all this throwback grooviness? At Unit Garage’s website, the kit sells for 3,124 Euros. That’s not cheap, but it beats waiting around for BMW to build a bike like this.
