Today, we take superbikes for granted, but back in 1939, they were a rare breed.
In this video, Jay Leno shows off a 1939 Vincent HRD Series A Rapide. It’s a beautiful bike, made to run fast (as long as you don’t blow up the gearbox). Supposedly it could do the ton, and more – an impressive feat in the pre-war era.
Watch the video! It’s a tad long, but it will leave you impressed with the bike – and wanting one yourself. Leno5’s an excellent, entertaining host, too – much more interesting than a generic MTV celebrity who buys an OCC chopper to look cool.
