You may have to move really, really fast if you come across the deal of a lifetime. Like, Marc Marquez fast.
If you're going to crash, make sure you're wearing a suit that can save you. Having all the stats (max g, crash speed, etc) recorded is just an extra perk. Photo: MotoGP

Yesterday, we told you Marc Marquez had a scary-fast crash at Mugello. Now, Alpinestars has shared the crash data from his suit.

When he crashed, Marquez was wearing a Tech Air suit; it’s equipped with an airbag that inflates on impact, and it’s also equipped with sensors that record how powerful the crash impact was.

According to the suit’s sensors, Marquez crashed at 337.9 kph. He hit the ground 0.08 seconds after the suit detected the crash.

The suit inflated in 0.05 seconds after crash detection, which is probably why Marquez escaped the crash with minimal injuries, despite seeing a maximum recorded energy of 25 g in the crash.

Here's a graph of the data from Marquez's suit.
