Polaris has announced US pricing for their 2014 Indian Chief.
The new bike, based around their Thunder Stroke 111 engine, will cost $18,999 in the US. Obviously, the Canadian pricing will be more than that. It will be unveiled at this year’s Sturgis rally.
Depending on which income bracket you fall into, that could be good news or bad. Many hoped the new Indian would be competitive with Harley-Davidson’s Sportster, price-wise. Obviously, that won’t be the case.
On the other hand, if you want a high-end V-twin with a honkin’ big engine, with a possibility of becoming a collectible, that might not be an egregious price. It’s certain that the expensive end of the motorcycle market is seeing surprising growth, considering the overall state of the industry

i think it is rather selfish that your contest to win a Thunder Stroke 111 is limited to the USA residents only as there economy is still in disarray and the Canadian dollar is stable it is an insult to Canadians to exclude them from your contest and that is the reason that Canadians are still buying Harley’s as they recognize that Canadian motorcycle riders are still buying and paying cash for their motorcycles and getting the support from there dealers unlike the way you disallow Canadians from your contest!!!
