What are you doing on July 5-7? If you’re a fan of BMW motorcycles, you should consider heading across the pond to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
That’s when BMW Motorrad Days 2013 runs, and this year, it ought to be a doozie, as the company celebrates 90 years of motorcycle manufacturing. They figure over 30,000 riders are going to show up and take in the sights.
All BMW’s current models will be on display, and they’ll also have a tent with classic Beemers on display. There’ll be a BMW GS Trophy challenge, and test rides are also available, and a lot more. If roadracing is your idea of fun, there’ll be BMW factory racers at the event, signing autographs and the like.
As with any good biker event, there’s going to be live music and camping, and more (hotel rooms are available).
Of course, it’s a bit late to ask your boss for time off at this point … but for a true BMW fan, it could be worth it.
