Two cool concepts from Honda

Honda’s already given us a look at the CC110 Cross Cub concept scooter this year. Now, at the Bangkok International Motor Show, they’ve showed us a couple more.

Gizmag published photos this week of a restyled Zoomer X that was spotted at the show. It’s called the California Style, and it’s got a fat rear tire, raked-out front end and shotgun exhaust, like any self-respecting chopper.

While this is hardly a two-wheeler in the mold of your average nimble grocery-getter, it’s interesting to see how the growing market in the developing world is re-examining the scooter platform.

Far more interesting, though, is their restyled MSX125 monkey bike, also seen at the show.

For some reason, Honda Thailand’s designers decided to take this machine and turn it into a vintage GP racer (a bit down on performance from its progenitors, of course). It’s called the RC-X Mini Vintage Racer, and no, we don’t think it’ll ever come to Canada. Which is too bad, because it would interesting to try to talk Rob into letting one into the Mad Bastard rally.
