Don’t forget that tomorrow (Friday the 3rd) is International Female Ride Day.
For details on what’s happening for this event in the GTA, click here. There are at least six group rides planned for Toronto, and a group photo at City Hall.
There’s also a a party going on at Atlantic Motoplex in Moncton, N.B., with a BBQ from 12:30-2:30 and 5-6, 10 % off regular price items for all females who are riding their bike and a local bike ride leaving at 6pm from Motoplex. Call them at 1-888-378-0169 for more details.
As well, Motoress is running a photo competition on Facebook for the day; you can check that contest out here.
There may be events going on in your city, but we don’t know about them. Call your local dealership and see if there’s something you can take part in. If not, that’s still no excuse to ignore the spirt of the day, which is to get females to just go for a ride.
As an MTP Instructor, I’ve had the pleasure over the past 6 seasons to see our Training Program grow to include approx. 45% female Students! My congrats to each and every one of you! Get out there and RIDE! A special shout-out to my fave female motorcyclist, Ms. B.Y.D. of CBS, NL!
So get out there and ride those females.
All outraged comments should be directed to r harris at cmg.the.internet.de
I’m helping serve lunch at Canadian Kawasaki, I’ll sneak ya in…
A wig and a couple grapefruits should fix that.
Tangerines might be more appropriate … 😉
So those of us not of the female persuasion can’t go for a ride?
