According to the Italian gossip-mongers, Ducati CEO Gabriel Del Torchio may be leaving the company.
Del Torchio came to Ducati back in 2007; after Audi bought the company last spring, they confirmed his position, but now there are rumours he may be leaving.
Supposedly, troubled airline Alitalia is looking for a boss who can put them back in the black; they’re bleeding money, and there are whispers they think Del Torchio is the man to reverse that. The question is, would that be a step up, or down, for the executive has helped guide Ducati to great successes in the last few years (MotoGP excluded)?
