MV Agusta is updating their F4 superbike with ABS.

The F4, F4R and F4RR are getting Bosch 9MPlus ABS, with two operating modes. There’s one setting for street, and another for track; the track setting offers as little interference as possible, for better lap times. The system is disengageable, if the rider wishes to turn it off.

The new ABS system will work with an RLM ‘anti rear wheel lift’ system that keeps the rear tire from lifting under heavy braking.

As the braking features weren’t standard on the F4 series at the start of 2013, we’re not sure if the lineup already in Canada will include these options, or whether the braking features will affect pricing.

  1. Apparently the traction control system makes the motor and chassis actually work, as well. The ABS is kind of the topping on the cake. MV has done a good job of modernizing it, but really, give that motor a F3 chassis and wow…
