If you live on the east coast, this weekend is your best chance to take in the 2013 new gear and bike lineups, at the Moncton Motorcycle Show.

Last week’s show in Halifax landed right in the middle of a nasty snowstorm, so this weekend’s show (which already boasted a bigger number of exhibitors) will give many Maritimers a chance to take in the attractions, which will include:

  •  The Yamaha Riding Academy! That’s right, the minibike madness continues. Drop off your kids and watch them rip around on 50 cc bikes. This is your big chance to be a Good Parent, the sort who raises their kids towards a bright future.
  • Local rally organizers. Pick up their brochures and plan your summer’s riding.
  • Safety Services NB. Beginning riders should visit their booth and learn about their training.
  • SHE Rides Night. After 5 p.m., ladies can get in for $5, and enter to win a getaway to Cape Breton.
  • And of course, booths filled with brand-new 2013 motorcycles and gear.
  • Last but not least, CMG will also be there. The V-Strom 650 adventure bike project will be on display at the Suzuki booth, while the magnetic personalities of Editors ‘Arris and Kurylyk will hold down their own piece of real estate in the CMG booth. Be sure to stop by and tell us what a fantastic job we do, or throw rotten fruit at us for all our mistakes. It’s up to you.

The fun starts at noon on Friday at the Moncton Coliseum. Doors are open noon-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $11 for adults, $8 for seniors 65+ and $7 for children under 10. A family pass for two adults and two children will cost you $30. Parking is free.

  1. Great show in Moncton especially since we missed out on the Halifax show because of the bad weather. Was hoping to pick up some new tires but nothing available for sale this year ?? Was it just me or was Victory dealer missing this year ? Great display by BMW, as always. Well worth the long trip to Moncton.
