KTM has taken their 690 Duke and made it faster.
Their new 690 Duke R gets 69 hp from its water-cooled 690 cc single-cylinder engine, with dual fuel injectors from Keihin and slipper clutch. The slip-on exhaust is by Akrapovic. The motor is well-protected by an orange roll cage.
It has WP fully adjustable forks up front and four-way adjustable monoshock in back, also from WP. Dry weight is 330 lbs.
The front brake is a Brembo monobloc caliper with 320 mm disc and dual-channel Bosch ABS. The ABS has a “supermoto” mode for riders who wish to lock the rear wheel up.
This bike is a close replica of the bikes used in the European Junior Cup last year; Honda has replaced KTM this year, with a track version of the CBR500.
